Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Meeting at a location in Folkestone near to the Channel Crossing we meet and greet in the morning in order to put your mind at rest with any looming questions or doubts you may have and also to break the ice for the tour ahead.  Once everyone is settled we make our way to the Euro-tunnel to begin our journey over to France which doesn't take long at all.  After exiting the train and regrouping just after the security on the Calais side we begin to make our way gently along the northern parts of France aiming for Hirson as our overnight location for the duration of our tour, we take plenty of short breaks during the days journey. Also, In the evening we will still be available to answer any further questions that may have arisen during the first days travels.

Day 2: After having a well earned rest and a good breakfast we take a loop around the Ardennes, again with plenty of stops, ending up back in our base for the few days. We will be travelling on a variety of French roads, meandering along rivers, and crossing open farmland. A nice easy pace will be upheld by the lead riders although you do have the option of going ahead if you chose to.

Day 3: An easy day with a ride down to Reims (approx 2 hours), where we will take some time off the bike to explore the city and its offerings for a few hours.  After we have enjoyed a stretch of the legs etc we are our way back up to Hirson via a different route (approx 2-3 hours) where we finish back in our base for a final night.

Day 4: Another loop this time towards the Northwest from Hirson, again we hold a steady and easy going pace to keep it stress free.  We roam through the typical French countryside and take some varying roads from single track to busier routes before ending back up at our accommodation in Hirson.

Day 5: We have to make our way back to Calais now to get back to our homes.  We will take a different route back to the one which we came out on to see as much of what France has to offer in our short trip as possible. Once we board the tunnel we will have a little time to reflect and say our goodbyes before we all make our separate ways home to our loved ones to reflect and relive the experience.

What to expect from this Tour

The two tour guides will take the lead rider and Tail End Charlie (TEC) roles ensuring all parties are present and correct at all times and will be in communication with each other to stop the group in a safe place if the need arises.  If the group does get split up the TEC will then take over leading the second section so everyone knows where they are going and won't get lost.

We take our time as you will need time to adjust to being on the opposite sides of the roads and the general traffic conditions.

Any and ALL questions will be answered at appropriate times and we are happy to take as much time to reassure you as needed.
